Sunset at Pescardero Beach,
Marcia Zimmerman led us on a field trip to Pescardero Beach to photography the tide pools, enjoy the beautify beach scenery, and explore the Pescadero Marsh and Natural Preserve. |

Pinnacles National Park,
Jeff Dunn, our resident Geologist and former Park Ranger, led us on a field trip to this national park. |

Cosumnes River Preserve,
Stephen Hinchey led us as we visited Cosumnes in Galt, CA.

Knight Foundry,
Leonard Stanton lead us on a trip to the Knight Foundry in Sutter Creek, CA.

Preston Castle,
Terry Toomey lead us on a visit to Preston Castle, actually Preston School of Industry, located in Ione, CA. Preston was built as a correctional institute for minors. Previously minors were housed at San Quentin or Folsom prisons.

Fort Point and Presidio Area,
We visited Fort Point, a civil war era National Historic Site that sits directly beneath the South end of the Golden Gate Bridge. After that we visited various batteries/bunkers located in the Presidio.

Old Borges Ranch - Walnut Creek, CA,
Old Borges Ranch is located within the Shell Ridge Open Space area in Walnut Creek. The ranch is home to 4 historic buildings, numerous pieces of farm equipment and serveral goats and chickens.

Black Diamond Mines Wildflowers - Antioch, CA,
With all of the rain we have had in northern California we went looking for wildflowers.

Fitzgerald Marine Reserve - Moss Beach, CA,
We hit the beach at a -2 low tide to capture the tide pools. There were orange starfish, purple periwinkles and purple sea anemones just closing up. After shooting we stopped by the Moss Beach Distillery for dinner.

Piedras Blanca - San Simeon, CA,
This was a spectacular weekend to see elephant seals up close during mating season. This trip included day trips to Hearst Castle, San Simeon State Beach and a couple of California Missions.
